Our Mission

IMHO-UK seek to improve the overall health and mental wellbeing of those particularly those affected by poverty, conflict, and natural disaster. IMHO dedicated to improve health care in the select region of the globe, by identifying health needs and providing resources and training to address those needs but can be self-sustained.
IMHO-UK dedicated to empower underserved communities to improve their health and address the emerging health needs.In this way, we promote self-reliance and sustainability. We believe in the transformative power of education and the role education plays in improving the health and wellbeing. IMHO frequently partners with local and international non-governmental organizations to channel our effort to assist the under privileged communities.

About Us

The UK chapter of the International Medical Health Organization (IMHO-UK) is an international humanitarian organization that focuses on developing health infrastructure and address the unmet needs of the disenfranchised communities worldwide. IMHO UK formed in 2010 and is a registered not-for-profit organization in the United Kingdom with the mission/vision of other chapters of the IMHO. Although IMHO UK shares a close relationship with IMHO USA, IMHO Canada, and IMHO Lanka, it is an independent organization driven by its own Board of Directors and Team.

Goals

Immediate
Increase volunteer membership so that IMHO-UK can organize events and drives to collect funds to support projects aimed at providing rehabilitation and improving healthcare.
We raise funds through individual donations, fund-raising events and concerts so that IMHO-UK can support educational and not-for-profit medical ventures to be carried out by local governmental and non-governmental organisations in underserved region of the globe.

Establish additional IMHO-UK chapters around various region of UK to support our goals.
Work with other chapters of IMHO to access EU-regional health projects and to access additional funding from EU-nationals.

Where IMHO-UK works

IMHO-UK aims to unite all medical and non-medical members to provide medical care worldwide and thus to help those affected directly or indirectly by disasters. IMHO-UK endeavors to promote physical and psychological health and to meet the gaps in the social well-being of the underserved communities, help relieve poverty and suffering through funding micro-credit projects.

What does IMHO do?

IMHO-UK strives to promote awareness of disease patterns and preventable illnesses through educating through different media in both English and in prospective native languages by collaborating with the local NGO and governmental organizations. IMHO-UK works to improve healthcare by supporting and financing various rehabilitation and educational programs in collaboration with other chapters of IMHO, WHO, UN and other NGO and governmental organizations.

Why IMHO-UK unique?

The IMHO-UK solely depends on the members contributions and fund-raisers from the greater London area, but hope to expand the membership across UK in the coming years. IMHO-UK has no overhead cost and 100% of the funds raised will be used to support most urgent projects. The support urgent seed projects that can be sustainable in due course. Our philosophy from inception is find a way to fund projects solely by IMHO-UK or in collaboration with other NGO’s to address the healthcare needs of needy and invisible.

The “INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL HEALTH ORGANIZATION (IMHO – UK)”, is a private limited company (Company No: 07437265) incorporated under the COMPANIES ACT of 2006. IMHO-UK is a “COMPANY NOT HAVING A SHARE CAPITAL” as stated by the MEMORANDUM OF ASSOCIATION, dated 11/11/2010 by Mr. Norman Younger of the “The Association of Company Registration Agents Limited 2009”. Company with the company house indicates that “the article” means the “Charity’s articles of association” with the Company House, UK (Great Britain and Northern Ireland). This “Memorandum and Article of Association” is applicable (Annex 1.0) to the PRIVATE LIMITED COMPANY and shall be enforced thereafter getting approval of charity status with the Charity Commission, UK. The General Purposes of this nonprofit PRIVATE LIMITED COMPANY, but not organized for the private gain of any person and is organized exclusively for charitable purposes.
